| September | The season begins with the AGM followed by preparation for our Christmas concert and work for the Leith Hill Musical Festival (LHMF). |
| December | Every year we give a Christmas concert in St Andrew's Church, Oxshott. The concert is given in aid of a local charity, chosen at the choir's AGM. This concert is often a candlelit performance, with the main work forming the first half of the programme and Christmas music and carols in the second half. The audience is invited to participate in singing some of the carols, and in eating some of the mince pies. In recent years we have been invited to sing in the annual Kids for Kids Charity Christmas concert, which in 2009 was held at St Margaret's, Westminster. |
| January - Easter | Preparation for LHMF which takes place immediately after Easter. The 2010 festival is scheduled for 15th-17th April, with Oxshott competing against the other Division 1 choirs on Saturday April 17th, and singing with them in the combined concert in the evening. |
| March | LHMF choirs join together to sing
an annual performance, either Bach's St John or St
Matthew Passion or Handel's Messiah. The 2010 performance will be Bach's St John Passion. The rehearsal schedule will be published on the LHMF website. |
| April | End of term Choir supper and review of the year. |
| May - June | Shortly after the Leith Hill Musical Festival we give our Spring concert 'Music in May', usually in
St Andrew's Church, Oxshott. Our programme in 2008 was excerpts from Haydn's Creation, followed by a second half
of lighter music. For 2009 an evening of Opera Choruses and Arias is planned. Every two or three years, the choir undertakes an overseas tour. In May 2000, the choir went on its first tour and performed two concerts in the Netherlands. This was followed by a second tour in May 2003 to Prague where we performed two concerts. In May 2006, the choir went on its third tour, this time to Belgium where we performed two concerts - see Reviews for details. |
| July | Some choir members participate in
the Surrey Festival Choir, which gives an annual concert in early July. In 2008, the choir performed Verdi's Requiem, and the programme for 2009 is Bach's B-minor Mass, to be performed in Guildford Cathedral on Saturday July 11th. |
